To learn about its history, we must go back to the end of the 19th century when the Central Argentine Railway Company, of English fund capitals, began to project a town near Rosario aimed for the homes of its managers. The urban layout was entrusted to the manager of the company at that time, the Englishman Henry Fisher, whose surname would give origin to the name of the neighborhood. Shortly after, on July 27th, 1889, this initiative was formalized with the foundation charter of the "Fisherton Town". However, it never functioned as an entity politically autonomous of the city of Rosario.
The urbanization then grew up between English-style mansions built on large lots around the Fisherton train station, which would later be renamed "Argentine Antarctica". Simultaneously, educational, recreational, religious, cultural, and commercial institutions were created, many of which today allow you to tour and discover the neighborhood from the roots of its history and identity.
