An enduring love story.
Love, just like desire, is hard to grasp. Either it quickly melts or it lasts over time. The most amazing stories emerge in its name, like the one about a Japanese man, Katsusaburo Miyamoto, who arrived in the country at the beginning of the last century.
Once he settled in Rosario, he married Carmelita, an Italian woman, in 1939. She died in the late 50s and, desperate about his loss, he decided to exercise one of his trades and embalmed her. On the fringes of law, Miyamoto lived together with the body, without drawing any suspicions.
The secret was revealed and Carmelita’s body was taken to the Anatomy Museum of the Medicine College, and visitors are allowed to stop by.
