Che’s Bench

Picture of “Che” as a baby with his parents taken at “El Rosedal” Square Parque de la Independencia.

Winter of 1928, in Rosario. El Rosedal Square (Rose Garden) at Parque de la Independencia (Independence Park) is full of visitors. The Park photographer does his job. Celia de la Serna and Ernesto Guevara Lynch proudly show their first son to the world. It is his first picture. Thus, this bench was the set for the first historical picture of a few months-old Ernesto Guevara de la Serna, "Che".
