Between the end of the 19th century and the beginning of the 20th century, it was Fisherton's main street.
Its original name was Ferrocarril Central Argentino Boulevard. Along it, stood most of the shops and villas of prominent English families such as the Aisnworths, the Christies, the Days, the Parrs, the Talbots, the Middletons, the Boardmans, the Eggingtons, and others. Those residences had well-kept parks and gardens that, in many cases, are preserved to this day.
Parallel to Argentino Bv. runs another of the most important arteries in the neighborhood, Thomas Brassey, named after an English civil engineer who his compatriots described as "the greatest railway builder in the world."
