Camp

This was the site chosen for the troops' encampment.

In the area surrounding the camp, the “Libertad” Battery was located. They were intended to repel incursions by the royalist army and communicated by pennants and lanterns. The collaboration of the neighbors was requested for its construction, to speed up the work, which lasted two weeks.
This was the site chosen for the encampment of the troops that accompanied Belgrano, a group of between 600 and 800 men. Since “Pago de los Arroyos” did not have the necessary infrastructure to house such a retinue, about forty tents were erected.
