Jorgelina Cardoso and Ángel Di María’s love story goes back to the year 2009 and it involves a key ally: they were introduced by the player’s cousin.
At first, the couple had to deal with a long-distance relationship because “Fideo” was playing in Portugal.
His classic celebration whenever he scores a goal, in which his hands form a heart shape, began the day Jorgelina moved to Lisbon. Ángel scored a goal and he celebrated that way, dedicating it to her.
Two years later, on July 30th, 2011, they said “I do” at the Rosario’s Cathedral before over 200 guests. Mía and Pía, born in 2013 and 2017 respectively, are the couple’s two daughters. Since they were born, they’ve also been included in such a special goal celebration.
