Clubes Náuticos

The English families who settled in the beginnings of the Alberdi village introduced the practice of sports on the Parana River.

Young people gathered at night to play bridge at the Rosario Rowing Club, founded in 1887. Over time, some of its prominent members regrouped and founded the Alberdi Rowing Club, a few miles away. New clubs, including the Bancario Club, the Yacht Club, and the Club de Velas, with river activities, such as sailing, rowing, and canoeing, among other disciplines, were founded later. Thus, the north bank of the city was slowly but steadily populated.
