La Continental Building

In 1945 Candia Construction Company built "La Continental".

The building, which includes private housing, is one of the numerous constructions that La Continental Insurance Company erected throughout the country to house its offices. 

It is distinguished by its particular integration into the urban layout; by withdrawing from the eastern party wall, it allows the building to receive more light and visibility. 

The design of the concrete structure allowed for large openings, highlighting the use of exposed brick masonry.

On the other hand, the location of a commercial store facing Cordoba St. generates a particular entrance to the building at the end of the lot.
