Ángel's hyperactivity led his mother to look for a pediatrician, who advised him to join a sport where he could run - football seemed the perfect choice. Thus, the future symbol of our national team began to develop his sporting skills. His first club was "El Torito '' located in Baigorria and Camino de los Granaderos streets.

At barely six years of age, in a final against Rosario Central Football Club, he scored the two winning goals (one being an Olympic corner kick) that helped El Torito become champions. This performance and the 64 goals he scored in a whole year caught the attention of the defeated club, and coach Ángel Tulio Zof convinced his family to let him play for Rosario Central. In exchange, El Torito asked for 26 balls for the player's transfer.

Nowadays, a large mural with Fideo's image stands out at the entrance of his first club. It was painted by Gabriel Griffa in the context of the 2019 Copa America held in Brazil.
