On Brassey Street there are two of the longest-standing educational institutions in the neighborhood.
The Cayetano Silva School was opened in the early 1950s and was a pioneer in the development of school gardens. The school is named after the Uruguayan musician Cayetano Silva, who composed, among other works, the San Lorenzo March.
Opposite the Cayetano Silva School stands the Stella Maris School. Its construction began in 1962 to fulfill the wish of families who wanted to provide their children with a religious education without the need to move to Rosario downtown.
