Monroe Passage (formerly known as “Argentino Passage”) is defined by 9 de Julio, Callao, Zeballos and Ovido Lagos Streets. Only a piece of its original characteristic architecture and Art Deco style remains between Callao Street and Ovidio Lagos Street.
The beginning of this project dates back to 1924, when Banco Edificador Rosario (a credit institution) funded the construction of this group of two-floor houses. Hilarión Hernández Larguía and Juan Manuel Newton were the draftsmen who made the designs between 1924 and 1929.
