At the age of 6, he played the piano for the first time, called by the curiosity of that piece of furniture that was locked. Thus, he began that journey of flatted, black and eighth notes.
At the age of 10 he took his first classes with Mrs. Bustos, a flirtatious woman who taught him the first musical rudiments. He continued his studies at Instituto Scarafia with Maestro Domingo Scarafia. He just had to cross Balcarce St. and walk a few steps. Mr. Scarafia, who had also taught his mother, was strict, and as a welcome, he gave Fito the book "Basic Training for Musicians," for him to learn the method used in all the official institutes in the country. Fito did not like books or studying very much. He played repeating what he heard from the Maestro. He was a great pretender until his childish mischief was discovered due to an error, and Mr. Scarafia kicked him out of the Institute. Years later, the acclaimed pianist Norma Scarafia (Domingo's daughter) noted that her father loved Fito and was very proud of the musician he had become.
