The French Garden

It was inaugurated in 1942 after some years of enlarging the park.

The architect Solari Viglieno inspired himself in Versailles, designed a 100-metre-rectangular fountain surrounded by bushes and brick-red paths. Besides, he designed elevated lateral symmetric spaces with benches surrounded by ever-green bushes, so as to create an intimate and romantic sensation. The area has two sculptures by José Gerbino: Venus East and West (1944).

At the moment, this area is part of a beautiful path that invites people to enjoy sunny days, mainly in spring and autumn.
