Architect Le Monnier designed the headquarters of the Jockey Club, which was built between 1913 and 1916, becoming one of the most representative institutions of the bourgeoisie of Rosario in the early 20th century.
The entrance area, with an octagonal shape, has a large staircase that marks the beginning of a series of distinctive architectural elements. These include a portal and a balcony with loggia (a gallery formed by arches on columns). Above them, there is the drum with windows of a dome with an octagonal base that culminates in curved spirals and holds the lantern, which is where the light enters, majestically crowning the building. As a curious fact, you can observe the profuse iconography: mascarons, “vases” strategically placed.
Under the drum of the dome, there is a coat of arms that indicates the construction date.
