Laurak Bat -Saudades
During the years preceding the return of a democratic government in Argentina, meeting in public sites was a risky activity, specially for young musicians and students attending classes in Philosophy and Humanities, and Fine Arts faculties (currently, Humanities and Arts Faculty). Laurak Bat and Saudades, located across from each other, were a sort of refuge for local artists. There, they talked about new instruments and shared the songs each of them wrote on their own to get feedback from their peers. Juan Carlos Baglietto, Rubén Goldín and young “Fito” Páez, among others, used to step in at these bars.
