The area delimited by Cafferata, Vera Mujica, Cordoba, and Santa Fe streets was originally a loading station for the Santa Fe Provincial Railway.
Wagons filled with lime, sugar, coal, stones, among other materials, arrived there and were shipped to other Argentine provinces and neighboring countries.
These warehouses were reconverted for various purposes, including a convention center, nightclubs, an amphitheater, and decoration shops. In 2017, it was reopened under the name "Mercado del Patio," with an important gastronomic offer and different shops that led to a total renovation of the complex.
