Olympic Athletes Walk

This walk pays tribute to local athletes who performed in the world’s foremost sports competition.

It covers both sides of Pellegrini Av., from Moreno Street to Sarmiento Street and there are plaques with the names of each renowned athlete, along with their discipline and the competition’s date and place.
Ángel Fabián Di María’s plaque was placed at 1300 Pellegrini Av. (on the north side of the street) because he got the golden medal in the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games. In the tournament, apart from his excellent performance, “Fideo” scored the only goal against Nigeria in the final, leading Argentina’s national team to victory.
