The Rectorate of the National University of Rosario, located in the emblematic “Paseo del Siglo” (“Walk of the Century”), occupies what was formerly the family residence of Luis Pinasco, an important merchant of the city.
Designed in 1929 by the renowned Architect Alejandro Cristophersen and executed by the Taiana & Cia Construction Company, this historical building combines architectural beauty with the city’s cultural legacy.
On the facade, a tripartite compositional order, and a rhythm typical of the French academicist style can be appreciated. One of its distinctive highlights is the small dome at the corner that is almost hidden by the curved broken arch that defines the ornamented window of the chamfer.
