San Martín Square

Iconic square, which bears the name of the hero of the Argentine Independence

This iconic square, which bears the name of the hero of the Argentine Independence, has established itself as a meeting place for the marches that take place every National Day of Remembrance for Truth and Justice, on March 24.

Surrounded by historic buildings, its diagonal traces a path between the former Clandestine Center of Detention and Information Service, and the Museum of Memory.

Hundreds of paintings demanding memory, truth and justice can be seen on the tiles which, even today, continue bearing the steps of millions of demonstrators that choose this place for all kinds of popular mobilization.
