It symbolizes the Nation legally organized by the 1853 Constitution.
The external walls of the Triumphal Propylaeum show verses from the National Anthem. At its center stands the urn with the remains of the Unknown Soldier who fought next to San Martín in the Battle of San Lorenzo, whereas the Votive Flame never goes out in homage to those who gave their lives for their country. In the lateral galleries of the Propylaeum there are sculptures that represent The Great Americas in its four stages: Indigenous Americas, Colonial Americas, Constitutional Americas, and Future Americas.
