This house, located on one of the most visited corners of the Paseo, was the residence of the Pinasco family, one of the most prosperous merchants of the city in the 1920s.
The design of this French-influenced private residence was commissioned to the most prestigious architect in Buenos Aires at that time, Alejandro Cristophersen.
The main entrance was located on Cordoba Street and not on the corner as usual.
The facade is organized into three parts: base, development and top. In the latter, a sloping black slate roof was used, with a cupola in the corner that is almost hidden by the curved broken arch that defines the ornamented window on the corner.
The interior is originally organized according to the functional uses of upper-class housing: a basement for services, a reception level interconnected to the rooms and the service area on the top floor.
At present, although the image of the set has been preserved, the different rooms have been adapted to the new purposes of the University.
