The mutual aid societies were the starting point of mutualism among Italian immigrants in Rosario. One of the first ones in the city was the Umberto Primo Mutual Aid Society, located in Pichincha.
Founded on December 28th, 1898, it is an example of community organization and mutual aid in the Italian community. The single-storey building is preserved in excellent condition. Its neoclassical facade features a triangular decorative piece above the entrance door, an architectural element that provides dynamism, and breaks with the rigidity of the traditional straight lines of this style. The top is adorned with small column railings that enhance the elegant and solemn character of the design. This detail is not only decorative, but it also contributes to a more harmonic facade.
