Many of the buildings in the area that belonged to the railway and were not demolished were reutilized.
Thus, tracks and classification yards, workshops, warehouses, brickworks, and elevators became dining complexes, yacht clubs, and public offices.
The most representative example is that of the building where the House of Tango has been operating since 2004. Its original function was quite different: it housed tanks intended to supply water to the locomotives of the Ferrocarril Central Argentino railway. Another visible example is that of the Parana Library, housed in a former railway administrative office.
