El Círculo Theater

In this superb theater, Negro gave an acclaimed speech on Bad Words.

If there’s an image that represents Fontanarrosa at his best as a public figure that is the ovation he received at the “El Círculo" Theater after his legendary lecture on Bad Words in November 2004, during the 3rd International Congress of the Spanish Language. “Why are
bad words bad? Do they hit good words?” those were the initial lines of that epic speech. Besides that anecdote, the theater itself it's worth visiting. It was built in 1904 following the Italian Neo-Classical style, and its acoustics, praised by Enrico Caruso, are one of the best of the world.
