Historic Center and Juramento Walk

The “Pasaje Juramento” is a walk flanked by statues by the renowned Argentine sculptress Lola Mora, which stand on a fountain with different levels. It connects the National Flag Memorial, the “Plaza 25 de Mayo” (Main Square) and the rest of Rosario’s historic center.

From the Main Square, the City Hall (also known as “Palacio de los Leones”) is to the left of the walk and the Cathedral’s yard to its right, the latter being the final resting place of the first inhabitants of the “Pago de los Arroyos” hamlet, which would later develop into the city of Rosario. From this vantage point, visitors need only raise their eyes to admire Lola Mora’s statues in the foreground and the Flag Memorial, the Paraná River and its islands in the background. 

Also worth visiting is the nearby Central Post Office—built by Argentine architect Ángel Guido, who designed the Flag Memorial—and the Firma & Odilo Estévez Museum of Decorative Art (with a collection of antiques donated by Rosario’s most distinguished families), both of them opposite the Main Square.
