Creative and simple artwork that symbolizes the bond between the river and the city.
This sculpture was built by local architects Gustavo Augsburger and Daniel Kosik, who chose a quasi-universal icon, so simple and powerful that goes beyond boundaries, languages, and cultures. Today, The Paper Boat stands as a symbol of the bond between the river and this riverside area, with a past characterized by the port, industries and cereal, and a present of booming urban transformation. It is 10 m long and 4.5 m high. To evoke the simplicity of paper, it was constructed with white corrugated iron.
