With their bars and services in the island, these sandy beaches are a popular summer attraction.
To reach El Banquito de San Andrés in a matter of minutes, there are ferries at the Estación Fluvial, a River Station steps away from the National Flag Memorial. In the summer, the number of ferry crossings per day is higher than in the fall and winter, when people may only take the ferry on the weekends and public holidays till mid-April. Also during the summer, these beaches are a meeting point for motorboats and yachts looking for a peaceful stretch of sand or the bustle and services of one of the island’s bars, another way of enjoying the sunshine.
