Originally known as the "Doña Luciana Vizcacha Hole," passed into the hands of Santiago Buratovich after the first parcelling in the area and became the heart of the neighborhood.
Inaugurated in 1924, the square has been remodeled several times, accommodating the changes and needs of the community. An important milestone in its history took place on October 11th, 1959, when the "Monument to the Mother", a white-patinated cement sculpture by the sculptor Erminio Blotta, was built. It is still the epicenter of neighborhood meetings with a ballpark and a playground for the little ones.
