Sunderland Bar

This restaurant, an old port venue, was a meeting place for Fontanarrosa and his friends.

With its red and white checkered tablecloths and great dishes, Sunderland Bar was one of the restaurants chosen by Fontanarrosa and his friends, even for celebrating his birthday (50th & 60th Birthday). A former port venue, this bar used to be a sailors den, and eventually became the back shop of the bohemian and cultural life of the city. “A well-known pirates den, hosted by Russian captives”, as Joan Manuel Serrat depicts it, Sunderland is a place full of anecdotes and stories. Today, with the piano as background music, you can watch drawings by Fontanarrosa and pictures of him and other celebrities that visited this bar.
