Hosting a variety of local and national artistic events, it is part of the cultural heritage of the city.
La Comedia is part of the city’s cultural heritage. Many of the most important actors & directors of the country held performances in this theater. It was a very special place for Olmedo. In his younger years, he was part of the claque of this theater, where he interrelated with several artists. But he was not only a regular, sometimes he stayed after the shows to clean up and fell asleep in the “henhouse”, i.e. the highest seats far away from the stage. His friends recall that he loved dancing & tapping, and that when a famous dancer was rehearsing, Olmedo would soon befriend him and ask him to teach him some steps, simply because he felt it, not because he wanted to become a great dancer.
